Digital Marketing
Digital marketing work over the last 10 years has been centred around the following clients and brands:
BBC Online Promos - From July 2001 to March 2004 the bulk of the work at the BBC was directly related to promoting BBC Channel brands and TV programming via digital marketing - either on BBC properties or large media portals. The following provide a glimpse into the breadth of campaigns, which frequently bled into other mediums such as TV, 48 & 96 Sheet poster campaigns, interactive TV and mobile.
- BBC Sport - Winter Olympics 'Salt Lake City' 2001, World Cup 2002 & downloadable 'Desktop Motty', FA Cup 2002 'Half-time Oranges' Campaign, Sports TXT Academy and the 2002 Commonwealth Games.
- BBC Four - BBC Four Launch and 'Seemore' campaign
- BBC Three - BBC Three Launch campaign and 'Blobs'
- BBCi Services - promotion of online services such as the BBCi Radio Player, BBC News Weekly Round Up and BBC Online Learning services - as well as the promotion of interactive TV services
- BBC 6 Music Radio & BBC One Extra - Launch campaign for digital radio stations
- BBC Learning - GCSE Bitesize campaigns
- BBC interactive Factual & Learning - Blue Planet, Walking with Beasts, Life of Mammals, Seven Wonders of the Industrial World
- CBBC & CBeebies - CBBC "Where's Your Head At" Campaign; CBeebies "Fimbles" Launch and the "Webster" Downloadable pal.
The above campaigns consisted mainly of downloadable screensavers & desktop applications, online flash games & competitions, and digital banners delivered across the BBCi networks, and occasionally external media portals such as MSN, Google & Yahoo (World Cup, GCSE Bitesize etc). An example project is shown here - the BBC Three 'Blob's campaign for the launch of the new channel and the introduction of the Blob idents.
More recent examples of digital marketing include work on Harley Davidson, Glass Boutique, San Miguel "Hidden Depths" and the Nokia Blackbox Mystery campaign
