Creative Development


Creative Development projects are generally work undertaken where there is a 'blank canvas' and the job is not just a straight-forward piece of digital production. This can mean that there is either some digital brand execution needed, an underlying creative theme to develop, or a combination of both. This can either be led by general brand positioning, or creative themes and copy-writing, narrative development or simple art direction. Creative development work also includes projects that are either still in development, or never reached fruition as they haven't (as yet) progressed beyond pitch stage. This would include project such as Air New Zealand, EA Skate, YouChef and the 5thStreet.

During creative development the main emphasis is on brainstorming and other creative stimulation techniques played out in workshops, thus producing the under-lying creative theme. This can sometimes be relatively straight-forward, or at other times quite complex, and sometimes even long-winded (especially if there are constraints such as over-arching brand considerations and multiple stake-holders).
